The 2008 Annual General Meeting will be held in the Emporium Room of the Hume Hotel on Monday, March 17, 2008.Our last AGM was held on February 19th, 2007.
Our current Directors are Bonnie Nilsen, Stevland Ambrose, Tom Clegg, Scott Frederick, Bo Pearce, Kathy Plant, and Russell Plant.
We have a new Public Access computer station at the Hip Drip Coffee Shop in the Prestige Hotel, 701 Lakeside Drive, Nelson BC. Drop by any time during business hours to access the internet. It is completely free of charge! Visit Public Internet for more info.
If you own a business in the Kootenays and would like to host a public access internet station (with all costs—including internet connection fees—covered by KICS) please send us a message through our Support Ticket System. We will contact you and provide you with a copy of our Public Access Internet Station Agreement for your consideration.
KICS is currently supporting not-for-profit wireless internet initiatives in rural communities around the Western Kootenays through monetary donations and by providing network administration assistance and training. One such project is Kaslo infoNet, a community access wireless network for Kaslo and its neighbouring communities.
